Flybe announced Newquay as there new destination flying out of London Southend Airport.
The London Southend Airport to Newquay service was previously run by EasyJet in 2013.
www.flybe.com will keep the route alive for 2014, during the four month summer season.
Tickets will go on sale today, Tues 28th January 2014, from as little as £24.99 inc taxes, each way.
Flights commence on 16th May 2013 to 27th September 2014, flying 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Flights depart Southend at 12:50, arrives in Newquay at 14:10 and departs Newquay at 11:05, arrives Southend at 12:25.
The short Domestic flight will make accessing Newquay fast and convenient from London Southend. Surfs up for those looking for a summer holiday in Cornwall!
On a more disappointing note, as well as Newquay, from 2014 easyJet have discontinued routes to Belfast and Edinburgh. The last Edinburgh flight will be June 2014.
With the Airport terminal expansion nearing completion, let’s hope easyJet, Air Lingus, Thomson Holidays, First Choice Holidays and newly returned Flybe operators, will add new destinations from London Southend Airport in 2014.
